Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Research Associate/Sr Research Associate to join our Immunology team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing our research projects and contributing to our understanding of immune mechanisms. This role involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with a dynamic team of scientists.

Responsibilities

  • Isolate, culture, and analyze various primary human immune cells (e.g., Treg cells, B cells, T cells, Monocytes)

  • Execute and analyze in vitro and ex vivo experiments

  • Optimize and execute in vitro functional assays for the characterization of RNA based cell therapy candidates (e.g., cytotoxicity assays, cytokine release, co-culture assays, immunophenotyping)

  • Viral or non-viral techniques to genetically modify primary human cells (electroporation, lentivirus, LNP) using DNA and RNA

  • Perform multi-parameter flow cytometry including intracellular staining

  • Organized and meticulous record keeping in ELN (electronic laboratory notebook)

  • Present data and results at team and company-wide meetings

Qualifications

  • M.S. or B.S with a focus on cell therapy, immunology, or related field. Level based on experience

  • 3+ years of experience in discovery research

  • Must have hands-on experience working with mammalian cell culture, ideally primary human immune cells. RNA experience or T/Treg experience a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work in a team environment with a positive and collaborative attitude

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, small-scale company setting and adaptable to shifting priorities
