About Nosis Bio:

Nosis Bio is a well-funded biotech startup exclusively focused on cell-specific delivery of RNA therapeutics. We are an all-scientist team of biologists, chemists, and machine learning experts that believe targeted extrahepatic delivery is the only thing preventing RNA therapies from becoming the standard-of-care for most chronic diseases. We combine deep expertise in receptor biology, generative AI, and high throughput in vivo data generation to exponentially accelerate the development of RNA therapeutics for new tissues. We are addressing a major unmet need across the industry and actively partner with pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and biotech.

About the role:
We are seeking a Research Operations Manager / Lead Specialist, In Vivo Research to support and coordinate in vivo studies evaluating the pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) properties of therapeutic candidates. This individual will bring strong hands-on experience in animal studies and will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day study execution, improving operational workflows, and ensuring high-quality in vivo research across multiple drug discovery programs.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys remaining close to the science while taking on greater ownership of in vivo operations, study coordination, and team support. The position is intended for an experienced, highly capable individual contributor who can provide structure, technical guidance, and executional leadership in a fast-paced research environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee in vivo PK/PD studies in animal models, including intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SC) dosing, blood collection, tissue harvest, and necropsy.

  • Coordinate day-to-day in vivo study activities, including study preparation, scheduling, animal ordering, materials readiness, and execution across multiple programs.

  • Help manage in vivo research operations to ensure studies are run efficiently, on schedule, and according to protocol.

  • Serve as a technical lead for animal handling, dosing, sample collection, and necropsy, helping train and support other team members as needed.

  • Ensure proper animal handling and dosing practices in accordance with established protocols, ethical standards, and institutional guidelines.

  • Assist in the execution of in vivo studies to support evaluation of drug properties and advancement of pipeline programs.

  • Maintain accurate and well-organized experimental records, study documentation, and data tracking in compliance with company protocols and regulatory expectations.

  • Collaborate closely with biology, chemistry, and translational science teams to support project goals, timelines, and study readouts.

  • Identify and implement improvements to in vivo workflows, lab organization, and study execution processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all animal care and use requirements, as well as company SOPs and safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to work on site in our lab spaces located in the California Bay Area at Marina Village in Alameda, CA.

  • Strong hands-on experience conducting rodent in vivo studies, with demonstrated proficiency in dosing, blood collection, tissue collection, and necropsy.

  • Highly organized and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable taking ownership of operational coordination and helping drive high-quality execution across studies.

  • Team-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across scientific disciplines.

  • Interested in supporting and guiding others while remaining a hands-on contributor in the lab.

  • Title and level will be determined based on academic and professional experience. We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds, including academic, nonprofit, and industry settings.

General Requirements

  • AS or BS degree with 5+ years of hands-on in vivo research experience, including at least 4 years of industry experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently execute in vivo studies and coordinate study activities with minimal supervision.

  • Prior experience training or mentoring others in in vivo techniques.

  • Experience with vivarium coordination, study logistics, inventory planning, or lab operations support.

  • Ability to contribute to operational planning and continuous improvement of in vivo research workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ALAT certification or equivalent.
