We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Associate (Oligo Synthesis) to join our team in supporting the manufacturing of oligos. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth execution of oligo synthesis, perform quality checks, and execute all production batches. You’ll also collaborate with R&D teams to refine the process to achieve efficiency and production targets while following strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oligo Manufacturing: Execute Oligo production batches, ensuring timely and accurate completion of orders while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist with troubleshooting production issues and ensure smooth operations. Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement processes, identify processing gaps and help implement new technologies working closely with crossfunctional team members.
  • Data Management: Track and record production data using systems like LIMS, or Google Sheets.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks on raw materials and products, ensuring they meet specifications for use in production.

Essential Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an oligo manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work a shifted work week to cover at least one weekend day, as needed.
  • Experience with lab automation, liquid handling robots, oligo synthesizers and performing instruments maintenance including Preventative Maintenance (PM), part replacement and coordinating for instrument calibration.
  • Experience working with hazardous substances and compliance with PPE requirements.
  • Excellent collaboration and verbal/written communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience working with intricate hardware components, software and custom reagents.
  • Experience in a startup environment – ability to anticipate and adapt to change and maintain order.
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting and presentation.

Salary and Benefits:

The hourly rate for this role is: $35.00 - $39.00. This is an on-site position, based out of Menlo Park, California. Final compensation also includes bonus, equity and benefits. Specific offer packages are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location.
