As a Senior FP&A Manager, you will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function in a cross-functional environment, utilizing your advanced analytical mindset and robust problem-solving abilities. We seek a dynamic individual capable of navigating complex financial landscapes, asking the right questions, interpreting data, and delivering strategic financial insights. This pivotal role involves leading financial planning, decision support across all departments, and contributing to the company’s strategic direction through sophisticated modeling and analysis.

You will operate in an autonomous yet cross-functional environment using your sharp analytical mindset and tenacious problem-solving abilities. We’re looking for someone who can move swiftly through an ambiguous environment, ask the right questions, interpret the data, and deliver accurate financial predictions. The FP&A Manager serves a pivotal role in financial planning and decision support across all departments across the organization. The right individual will be a lead in the Finance team in developing accurate forecasts, reporting on key metrics, and driving strategic decisions through modeling and analysis. Working with varied constituents, both internal and external, the FP&A Manager will help maintain up-to-date forecasts, evaluate new initiatives, and develop business plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead the FP&A team in developing accurate forecasts, reporting on key metrics, and driving strategic decisions. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Oversee the development and maintenance of financial operational models and management systems. Lead the construction of fiscal year and quarterly budgets, ensuring the accuracy of financial performance projections.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Direct the creation of repeatable, accurate financial reporting, including dashboards and key metrics to monitor financial performance. Provide operational service line analysis to support field and corporate decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a liaison to ensure proper information flow. Lead consultations with field leaders to create financial reports that support business analysis and decision-making.
  • Consistency & Standardization: Drive the standardization of operating group reporting and metrics, facilitating value-added analysis across the organization.
  • Strategic Financial Initiatives: Lead high-quality, timely analysis contributing to the business's performance, including analytical models for new business opportunities and strategic investments.
  • Revenue & Cost Management: Monitor revenue and costs to identify areas of growth and cost savings. Provide strategic insights to guide financial decisions.
  • Executive Reporting: Oversee the preparation of materials for executive meetings, Board of Directors meetings, investor day presentations, and other leadership forums.
  • Project Leadership: Lead project and investment tracking across all organizational functions, managing special projects as needed. Drive the enhancement of reporting and analytical infrastructure.
  • Software Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of new FP&A software, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling, with a strong emphasis on process optimization and streamlining.
  • Proven track record in financial project management, with strong data visualization and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience in strategic financial planning within early-stage startups or similar fast-paced environments.
  • Expertise in NetSuite or similar financial software is a plus.
  • Strong passion for creating efficient financial workflows and policies.
  • Located in the United States.

Salary and Benefits:

The annual base salary compensation for this role, if based in California is: $155,000 - $190,000. Compensation may be different in other locations. Final compensation also includes bonus, equity and benefits. Specific offer packages are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location.
