operations team, you will play a central role in bringing our groundbreaking technology for scalable production of long, perfect synthetic DNA to market.
scheduling, executing, and monitoring production batches, as well as maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the smooth operation of our DNA synthesis processes.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate production batches during the evening and weekend shifts.
- Execute production batches according to the scheduled plan
- Monitor and ensure the successful completion of each batch, including troubleshooting and making on-the-floor decisions.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to batch volume, size, turnaround time (TAT), and success rates.
- Place orders as needed to maintain an uninterrupted production workflow.
- Support raw material preparation and stock maintenance.
- Attend and actively participate in all team meetings and training sessions.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of work experience in molecular biology laboratory, biotech or pharmaceutical companies, preferably 1-2 years in a production environment.
- Recent graduate with a Master’s degree will be considered
- Willingness to work one of the following shift options for this role:
- Option 1 : Wednesday to Sunday (5:00pm - 1:30am)
- Option 2 : Tuesday to Saturday (5:00pm - 1:30am)
- Hands-on experience and troubleshooting skills in molecular biology and biochemistry, including liquid handler, general lab maintenance, and inventory management.
- Experience or equivalent training with PCR, nucleic acid purification and NGS library prep
- Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant software.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Expertise in maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets.
Salary and Benefits:
The annual base salary compensation for this role, if based in California is: $75,000 - $90,000. Compensation may be different in other locations. Final compensation also includes bonus, equity and benefits. Specific offer packages are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location.
